Oluwakemi Omotunde is originally from Nigeria, and grew up in North Dakota. She currently works with CUNYStart, a special program that allows CUNY students to fulfill their remediation needs and prepares them to successfully navigate their first semester of college. Although she enjoys this, her passion lies in data analysis. She recently completed her master's degree in data science at the CUNY School of Professional Studies. Prior to that, she recieved her bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Brooklyn College. She hopes to eventually use her data science skills to foster improvements in women's health, particularly Nigerian women. Oluwakemi founded IRO, a headwrap and baby carrier company and has been recently trying her hands at baking cakes.
